The Hours..

7a.m "Le Chateau Turpot" , a privately owned castle ,
has been part of many postcards of the peninsula of Quiberon.
Ce chateau a ete pris sous tous les angles, ici a 7h du matin,
sur le petit port de Port Maria.

10 a.m the beach has been cleaned.
10h du matin, la plage est prete..

7 pm on a stormy evening..
19h, il est temps de rentrer au port..

9.30 p.m The sun is setting on Quiberon,
and next week, finally... New York pictures are back!!
21h30 le soleil se couche sur Quiberon.
La semaine prochaine, les photos de NY seront de retour..enfin!!

Beach cabanas..

They were built initially to change "into" a bathing suit..
But Children in Brittany,who are used to build sandcastles
wearing a wool sweater , know also that the best place
for playing cards or a game of Monopoly,
are those beach cabanas with a great view on the Ocean!!

Ces cabines de plage etaient faites initialement pour "se changer".
Mais les enfants qui passent leur été en Bretagne,
et qui sont habitués a construire des chateaux de sable,
portant un pull en laine sur leur maillot de bain,
savent aussi qu'elles sont la meilleure place "avec vue sur l'ocean",
pour un jeu de cartes ou un Monopoly!!

"Morning has broken"...

Port Maria 7 a.m , the boat is leaving for the Island of Belle Ile...
Some people left already... others are still sleeping...
Imagine opening one of those colorful shutters,
It's high tide,you can hear the waves crashing on the sand..
the smell of coffee and "croissants" is tickling your nose..
It can only be a beautiful day ahead..

Port Maria, 7h du matin, la sirene du bateau de Belle Ile vient de retentir
Certains sont deja partis... d'autres dorment encore...
Imaginez vous ,ouvrir l'un de ces volets de couleur..
La mer est haute, on entend les vagues qui s'ecrasent sur le sable..
l'odeur du café et des croissants vient chatouiller vos narines...
C'est l'été, et la journee s'annonce Belle...

Upside Down...

The suitcase and the mind full of Memories...
The end of a Summer...
It's never easy... but it is time to come back!!!
Before I can recharge my New York batteries, if you don't mind,
I will share with you some of my summer pictures,
and introduce to you my little hometown, in Brittany, France.
This is a sailing/fishing harbor called Port Haliguen.

A l'endroit ou a l'envers...
La valise et la tête pleines de souvenirs...
La fin d'un été...
Ce n'est pas si facile...mais le temps du retour est arrivé!!!
En attendant de recharger mes batteries New Yorkaises,
si vous n'y voyez pas d'inconvenient, je vais partager avec vous,
quelques photos de vacances de ma petite ville Bretonne.
Celle-ci est prise a Port Haliguen, port de plaisance et de pêche.
