The place to spend the Summer Week ends,
if you ask a Manhattanite, is THE Hamptons.
Three villages located at the Southern tip of Long Island :
Southampton, Bridgehampton, Easthampton.
Mainly a farmer's land years ago, (just a few remain)
they have become a site of summer villas and mansions.
If you have seen Woody Allen movies, these pictures will trigger
your memory. To protect the sand dunes , barriers have been erected.
By a public or private path like this one
you will access some of the most beautiful beaches of the East Coast.

2h30 en voiture sans circulation, parfois 4h pour certainsWE..
Les fermes ont ete peu a peu remplacées par des villas
de taille parfois surprenantes. Si vous etes fan de Woody Allen
ces photos vont surement vous rappeler certains de ces films.
Par un acces public ou privé comme celui-ci,
on accede a des plages magnifiques et a perte de vue.
