Up the stairs...

Up the stairs and...
A view of Times Square on a sunny day, looking South.

Quelques marches d'escalier...

I wish you all a nice and sunny Weekend inside and outside!

& you as well.
another lovely shot, & it seems you have captured spring in the air!

So, what do you think about your mayor's idea of making Times Square pedestrian only? Personally, I think I would miss the traffic very much. Love the TKT stair detail.

Nazzareno March 13, 2009 at 1:49 AM

Olivier March 13, 2009 at 3:11 AM

Bon weekend !

Oooh, those stairs look slippery...but beautiful. I love this shot of Times Square, where my grandfather used to take me when I was little. I agree with Chuck and your mayor---GREAT if it would be pedestrians only.

hpy March 13, 2009 at 4:13 AM

PeterParis March 13, 2009 at 4:26 AM

From somewhere around the 45th and 46th? Your photos really make us feel we would be there (except for hpy maybe?) Have a nice weekend (without visiting NYC maybe?)!

Babzy.B March 13, 2009 at 4:29 AM

Magnifique marche et quelle vue !!

Daniel March 13, 2009 at 4:49 AM

Those steps look slick, be careful...love the reflection in them. It's amazing to me how every little inch of space has something there...so much to see in your photo!
Have a great weekend :)

alice March 13, 2009 at 8:27 AM

Quel beau rouge! On y voit même quelques reflets.

Marie March 13, 2009 at 9:43 AM

Nancy March 13, 2009 at 9:52 AM

I've never been. Great pictures Marie-Noyale.

Excellent post. I think pedesterian only is a good idea. It really worked in some of Japan's largest cities.

Clueless in Boston March 13, 2009 at 11:28 AM

Wow! Great strong image of the red stairs.

Times Square sans automobiles would be wonderful. Fewer cars on the road is better for us all.

Barb March 13, 2009 at 11:32 AM

Another great photo, I would have never thought to shoot a photo of the red stairs but you turned it into art, also love the photo of times square reminds me of when I was there a few years ago....Barb

Catherine March 13, 2009 at 12:47 PM

Fernando Pagán March 13, 2009 at 7:07 PM

Very nice captured!

Lowell March 13, 2009 at 8:04 PM

Two glorious shots. The stairs I had to look at twice, but the shot is magnificent. And the Times Square photo - well it couldn't be any better!

Jane Hards Photography March 13, 2009 at 9:08 PM

I am just mesmerised my the red steps.

Tash March 14, 2009 at 2:08 AM

The red steps with a sheen! better than nailpolish.
I do love your shot of Times Sq - brings back that feeling of wonder of seeing it for the 1st time - I felt like twirling around like "That Girl".
Hope you have some green grass soon. Our "wild" grass will start to dry up in May but the lawns will still be green.

magiceye March 14, 2009 at 4:39 AM

both pictures are beautifully composed!

Bergson March 14, 2009 at 5:55 AM

Marguerite-marie March 14, 2009 at 2:29 PM

GMG March 14, 2009 at 7:56 PM

Hi M-N!
Times Square, always!!

Blogtrotter has Akbar’s capital city for you. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

namaki March 14, 2009 at 8:32 PM

I like the zenitude of the red stairs before the affluence of information given by busy Times Square !! so many things to look at and I guess so much to hear !

Julie ScottsdaleDailyPhoto.com March 15, 2009 at 12:40 PM

Your photos today and the pat few days have been just excellent. I am enjoying following your site! I look forward to more great visits. BTW, I am glad you are enjoying the Chihuly art on my website. I am going to continue to post more over time and intersperse the Chihuly eye candy with the desert, interesting cactus, resorts, special events and other photos.

Anonymous March 15, 2009 at 7:58 PM

When I visit, i am NEVER disappointed by what you have seen and caught!

claude March 16, 2009 at 4:44 AM

Ca fait du bien de la couleur et du soleil, Y a pas !

Juergen Kuehn March 16, 2009 at 10:41 AM

Signal example of street life photography. I can hear the cabs hoot concert.

namaki March 16, 2009 at 7:31 PM

Unknown March 17, 2009 at 2:32 PM

Both shots are brilliant!!! Although I can't remember now from which building did you capture such a fantastic perspective... and the red stairs even make me more confused.

Il y a aussi..There is also...
