American Wing, Engelhard Court

The American wing of the Metropolitan Museum
reopened on May 19th after 2 years of renovation,
and was last night the site of another dinner party.
From the loggia it looked like a ballet of men in black
dancing around the bronze statues...
The stone facade was originally located on Wall street
and was part of a Branch Bank of the United States (1822)

Enjoy a bright and sunny...(Hopefully)... Weekend.

I don't know how you do it, M-N but it's surely a treat to get a peek at something like this.

How beautiful. I love galas in places like this; so timeless.

Great shots, both of them. The first is a real stunner. I like your depiction of the wait staff.

Léia and I have been there but we didn't manage to take a picture from such a privileged angle. The museum is so huge and interesting!

M-N,
Another one of your wonderful museum shots that I love. THe light, the shadows, the "dancers" are just gorgeous. I assume the orange cones were taken away before the guests arrived?? :)
