Lovely at dusk! The Baccarat Crystal looks somewhat like the Star on our Macy's store in Seattle.

Show must go on.

Tash December 31, 2008 at 3:59 AM

Congratulations on a year of splendid photographs. The crown is appropriate. :)
I only know The Plaza from "Eloise at the Plaza"...I enjoyed reading it to my son & hoped he wouldn't imitate her antics.

Bravo for the one year! I did not follow you in the beginning, but I have had the pleasure to do it regularly later - once I "discovered" you!

Your pics from and around NYC make me dream - including this last one! Of course I love Paris - and so do you, I believe -, but there are other "dream cities" in the world and NYC is certainly one of them!

Really nice to have you among my blogger friends! All the best for you and your family for 2009!

Anonymous December 31, 2008 at 6:54 AM

I am so glad that we don't all like to live in the big city. It would be a nightmare for me. I like to look up and see the sky and to walk a few feet and be under trees in the shade.

My best friend lived in NYC and said he was amazed at how different his life was here in Ohio compared to his life in NYC. He was an engineer who went to City College.

I guess you have to love it like religion.

I hope 2009 will be better than 2008, 2007, and 2006. I do think our government will be inspired by our new President Obama -- at least I hope so.

I would like to see the War in Irag end and I would like to see the killing stop everywhere.

It is my hope that Japan will stop slaughtering whales and raping virgin forests.

And I hope the people will lose their clubs and no longer club baby seals to death.

What a world we have and live in. 2009 could be so much better than it will be.

Beautiful picture. I never tire of seeing such wonderful images of NYC. Have a great New Year.

Virginia December 31, 2008 at 11:54 AM

Just a wonderful photo and tonight it will be full of revelers! Great getting to know you and hope to see you in the new year. Maybe I will make that trip to NYC that I keep talking about. Have a Bonne Année full of happiness and good health mon amie!

And yes BRAVO for your one year on CDPB!

More lights there than on island.

Love the angle and view. Happy Birthday and Happy New Year.

Lovely shot, it doesn't look cold at all, but very inviting. Happy New Year & Blog B'day.

Cergie January 5, 2009 at 10:15 AM

Bhavesh Chhatbar January 14, 2009 at 6:34 AM

It was a pleasure going through your blog. This post especially has a great photograph. Which camera and lens? Well, that's just an equipment. The important thing is your art.

Squirrel January 15, 2009 at 8:36 PM

Hope the New Year is being good to you--I'm enjoying your archives today!

Il y a aussi..There is also...
