Inviting...

Walking by ,this place looked quite inviting,
after this frigid first week of March...
This Georgian style church built in the 1920's
is both a house of worship and a social hall .

I wish you a very "Homey" and cosy Week end

Third church of Christ, Park Avenue and 63rd street

Une église? Belle!

Bon wouik Marie-Noyale !

The story doesn't tell... Did you go in? Im' not a church-goer, except to see their beauty... and to listen to free concerts!
I wish you also a nice and cosy weekend!

Chaude ambiance!

Gatsby, t'a-t-il envoyé un bristol ?
Bon week-end Marie Noyale.

Your night photographs are fabulous - well so are all of them! What a wonderfully inviting image this is - love those warm colours in this impressive church.

I would never say this is a church! It looks like a theater about to open doors for the night show. Fantastic!

Such a magix dome light! Superb captured.

Terrific shot. It does say "Come on in." I wonder if this is a Church of Christ, meaning that particular denomination or if its part of the Christian Church? Whatever, it doth get confusing.

What a beautiful invitation. I would love to worship in that church. I'm sure the members of the congregation are very adept at making people feel at home with them.

Marguerite-marie March 7, 2009 at 3:21 AM

Hi M-N!
Sorry I couldn’t visit you for the last two weeks! I’m trying to catch-up and see the wonders you have around!

This one is amazing; it could only look like a church if you look to the first floor...
The doormen are excellent, but the captain at the Trump is unbeatable!
Finally, the views of Manhattan are outstanding!!

Meanwhile, one of the most beautiful Forts in India waits you and your comments at Blogtrotter: – The Amber Fort! Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Hi!

This is yet another great shot. I wish I could ask you about how your night photos look so great. Maybe you should start a tutorial blog!

Have a great weekend-

Nancy

Looks like they have an open door policy. Nice to know when it's cold outside :)

Virginia March 8, 2009 at 10:07 AM

It really doesn't look like a church to me but it is beautiful nontheless. I'd like to see the sanctuary!

a nice pinkish colour ... is it so or because of the lightings ?

Squirrel March 8, 2009 at 9:05 PM

You are a master! Talk about expecting a warm reception inside--how could one expect less with this shot? Beautiful.

gogouci March 9, 2009 at 9:45 AM

Love the fiery red glow. Make the building look alive.

Norbert Bach March 24, 2009 at 4:41 PM
