"5 o'clock shadow"

With the coming of spring,
I noticed a certain carelessness in the grooming...

Amsterdam Avenue and 82nd st, West end Avenue, West Side.

After a long winter everyone gets alittle unkempt! This made me laugh! Beautiful buildings.

That first building is absolutely amazing! It looks like it has a garland! I love vine-covered walls so I like the second building. Everything's so lush!

Love those brownstones. I suspect the gardening might be hard to keep up with at the beginning of the growing season?

These are such beautiful buildings, shaved or unshaven! I remember walking here the last time I was in NYC.

I can't believe these! I've never seen anything like it - the 1st one is hillarious and the 2nd is again unbelievable. Well done, M-N!
I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.

C'est la maison de Barbe-Bleue, euh... Barbe-Verte?

In the first shot that building seemed to have a necklace!
Cool post!So different!

LOL !!! Excellent.

I'm still laughing! What a great eye you have!

Not so much a five-o'clock shadow, though as some full beards and a goatee!

Clueless in Boston May 12, 2009 at 10:25 PM

I like them shaved myself; though the goatee on the first is kind of funny looking.

gogouci May 13, 2009 at 1:15 AM

Too funny. Perfect pics for the title.

The 1st shot is absolutely gorgeous and I think I've never seen such a high vine as in the 2nd! Wow!

I wonder how long it has taken for this to grow? It's beautiful and creates a vision of verdancy that I find enchanting.

Two fabulously extraordinary climbers. How absolutely marvellous. I bet they hide some wildlife too. Super photos.

I have veneration for your large-scale aptitude for photographie. There must be much more behind your photo-creativity.
