Big Bambù

What seems to be the attraction?..

With 5000 bamboo poles and 50 miles of nylon rope,
2 Twin brothers Doug & Mike Starn will be building, all summer long,
a structure on the roof terrace of the Metropolitan Museum
Visitors will be allowed to ascend and walk 20 to 40 ft above ground level.

Y monter ? Hmm, c'est si solide que ça ?
Très beaux nuages sur la skyline...

Very impressive piece of bamboo. I used to see this stuff used, in Japan, for some amazing scaffolding that went up beside buildings. And it was there that I learned that some bamboo is as big around as telephone poles. Hard to hold up while fishing.

Are you sure that is art? It look like a bunch of beavers have run amok:)

Looks fascinating. I wonder how they are getting around the health'n'safety stuff?

Well, that's a rather amazing piece of art. But I don't think you're gonna get me walking 20-40 feet above ground on a bunch of bamboo poles. Bamboo is for Pandas! ;-)
