Spotting this couple looking for directions in Chelsea
reminded me of "The Honeymooners"
that some of you may remember, with Ralph Kramden's famous quote:
"One of these days Alice, straight to the moon!!!"

m'a rappelée un feuilleton comique Americain des annees 50
ou le mari, qui n'aurait pas fait de mal a une mouche,
revait a chaque episode, de se debarasser de sa femme
en l'envoyant d'un coup de poing sur la lune!!!

Ah chelsea, j'adore ce quartier, un musée pop art a ciel ouvert.
What made you think of Ralph Kramden? The fist? Remember, he also ended every episode with a variation, of "Alice, you're the best."

(dans ce cas précis le monsieur n'a pas l'air prêt à envoyer sa chérie dans la lune d'un coup de poing, il compte sur elle pour retrouver le bon chemin)
Even before I saw the picture I knew the reference. I suppose a tv character couldn't say something like that anymore, even though you knew he adored Alice and couldn't have lived without her. Great shot too.
Oh I so remember that quote. Parifait mon amie, parfait.
