Theme Day : Books../ Reading in the Park...

BOOKS can be fun... Pick one.. Read one
A Saturday morning, in a Manhattan Park,
This little girl is completely absorbed
by the book she just picked up on the shelves,
while her parents are reading their newspapers
on another table. She was reading aloud to herself,
and no Taxi honking..no Fire engines sirens,
not even my camera's closing shutter,
could disturb her!!!

Wonderful to see a child so absorbed in the world of books. You captured her joy in the book.

I like the progression from babes & tots to a young reading maverick. Great action packed take on the Theme Day. I meant to tell you that you photographed the children so well - only after I thought about my photos of kids on the move did it really strike me. Have an enjoyable weekend.

Children reading is nice. I like the photo for theme day.

I forgot about theme day today so I just found some of the books I wrote and took a photo and published that. Too late to be included in the group but it worked for me. LOL

You've captured a fantastic expression of that cute little girl! Very good!

> Yes this park is located outside the NYPublic library. Shelves of books for adults and children are waiting for you ,
you can sit in the sun and enjoy reading a few pages or more....

Wonderful picture and really captures the essence of what a book is in the hands of a reader.

I LOVE her expression, that is the cutest! Too bad her parents missed it!

Une bibliotheque de Plein air is a marvelous idea. This precious child experiencing the joy of reading is just magical. You captured her perfectly Marie. And your tunes are so nice, I might linger a few minutes.

It is amazing what concentration, absorption and imagination children exhibit when they find something they like. Very nice photo today!!

Perfect, perfect, perfect. My favorite for today, Marie-Noyale. Even I still like to be swept away in a good story. I wouldn't even want to live in a world without books.

beau portrait.

Cergie November 3, 2008 at 5:13 AM
