Manhattan Island.. Roosevelt Island.. Long island.
The Queensboro Bridge leaves the Queens in Long Island,going over Roosevelt Island,seen on this picture, and enters Manhattan
between 59 and 60th street.That is why it is sometimes called The 59th street Bridge..
In a Simon and Garfunkel song... In a famous scene from the Woody Allen movie"Manhattan" where he sits with Diane Keaton on a bench,overlooking the East river.

L'Ile de Manhattan... Roosevelt Island.. Long Island..
Le Queensboro bridge relie le quartier du Queens sur Long Island, a Manhattan, en passant au dessus de Roosevelt Island,que l'on voit sur cette photo.
Il est aussi appele le 59th street Bridge car il entre dans Manhattan entre la 59 et la 60eme rue.
Une chanson de Simon and Garfunkel porte ce nom.. Une scene du film "Manhattan" de Woody Allen l'a egalement rendu celebre,il y est assis avec Diane Keaton sur un banc .

"Camera Fishing"

During my walk,yesterday morning, I saw something moving in a small defrost corner of a pond..
No fishing pole at hand!!
but my camera in the backpack,I was able to get this "catch"..
This poor creature was desperate for some light...some air..some oxygene... after a few weeks under the ice. It keept on turning around offering all parts of its body to the meager sun.

Pendant ma marche,hier matin,j'ai surpris un mouvement dans un petit coin degele d'un etang.
Sans canne a peche!!
mais avec mon appareil photo dans mon sac a dos,
j'ai reussi tout de meme une "bonne peche"..
Cette pauvre creature avait un serieux besoin de lumiere... d'air... d'oxygene.. apres quelques semaines, passe sous la glace. Il semblait "faire la planche",offrant aux faibles rayons du soleil,
toutes les parties de son corps..

Sunrise on the Larchmont Yacht Club.
In 1880,5 young men,who loved sailing on Long Island sound,but were tired of ending their sailing day with a bonfire on the beach,decided to look for a place...and that's how it started.
Tomorrow,a little pick inside...

Le soleil se leve sur le Larchmont Yacht Club.
En 1880, 5 jeunes hommes,fanatiques de voile, decident de trouver un endroit pour se retrouver apres leurs journees passees en bateau sur Long Island Sound. Jusqu'alors ils n'avaient que la plage et un feu de camp pour deviser... Et c'est ainsi que tout a commence.
Demain,petit coup d'oeil a l'interieur...

This is my favorite building of 2007. It is called the IAC building,it was designed by Frank Gehry,and is located in Chelsea on the West side of Manhattan . I tilted it and found it even more interesting!!

Voila mon Building prefere de l'annee 2007,il a ete cree par l'architecte Frank Gehry,et est situe dans le quartier de Chelsea sur le West side de Manhattan . Je lui ai donne un petit cote penche et je le trouve encore plus beau ainsi!!

I received yesterday a delicious "breath of sea air",coming from the Golfe du Morbihan, a place close to my heart.. Thank you Alice,for giving me the "You make my day"award. It made the beginner that I am, feel special.

This one is in New Rochelle(next to Larchmont,founded in 1688 by Huguenots from La Rochelle,France).It has been there since 1955,but "developpers" have decided to demolish it and replace it by another"Drugstore"..It's a shame.
Celui-ci est a New Rochelle(ville mitoyenne de Larchmont,fondee en 1688,par des Huguenots de La Rochelle).Malheureusement,de charmants promoteurs ont prevu de le remplacer par encore un nouveau centre commercial....

When I was a little girl,every Xmas,I read a book about a "Beautiful" pine tree.I used to love the begining and cry at the end..because it ended just like this...
